READER’S COMMENTS –

“The Menagerie of Broken Dreams, delivers an entertaining and suspenseful look at a part of Americana; that of the human oddities performing in a “menagerie”, or side show.

I don’t want to give too much away but some of the characters may make you feel a bit uneasy and yet sympathetic to their plight. Other lives intermingle with the circus performers adding to the tense atmosphere created by this talented up and coming author.

I believe this is the best of this author’s novels so far.”

“Throughout the entire book I kept thinking about how I look forward to when this will made into movie as the characters would be beyond entertaining in a film.

The details in this book are very creative and unique – what an imagination! They are so well written that you feel like you are in the Menagerie next to the canvas, spelling the elephant and lion. The plot unfolds to reveal how everyone is connected. Loved it!

My favorite characters were Gaston, Savannah, Joe, and of course it was great to have Uncle Phillip, Stephen and Jeanette back!!!! Anna Mae, wow! Watch out for that gal. Twisted folks throughout…Read this!”

Menagerie of Broken Dreams.  Great Read, intriguing mystery…”

“This book will take you back to the days when carnivals had the quirky, interesting, sometimes dark and scary sideshow attractions…but this story is beyond the oddities, this book takes you to the heart of the individuals – and the secrets they guard.
Doctor Merriweather is a complex character, a “caring” man, protective of his odd family – but with his own secrets threatening the future of all.  Great read, intriguing mystery…”

About Hurricane River Publishing

I write mystery novels. The Butterfly Conspiracy and The Peacock Prophecy, feature Stepehn Moorehouse, his Uncle Phillip Kahle, and Stephen's romantic interest, Jeanette St. Jacques. The Maze At Four Chimneys features John Barrington and his family. The Black Orchid Mystery features a detective named Archie Archibald. This book takes place in Vero Beach, Florida but has ties to John Barrington from The Maze book. My latest book, Menagerie of Broken Dreams, brings back Stephen Moorhouse and his uncle Philip, as they travel to central Florida to make a movie. Things don't go as planned when they meet Doctor Merryweather and his run down roadside attraction the Menagerie.
