Another Fun Yooper Picnic!

On Sunday we went to another great Yooper picnic.  In case you don’t know, a Yooper picnic is where people go who are from Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula.  There are several Yooper picnics held all across the United States, but this one has been held in central Florida for many years.  I have been selling my books there for the last 5 years and it is so much fun to talk to people who wait all year to buy a book from me.  On Sunday I had a woman purchase all 4 of my books for her sister.  Her sister had read them all, the copies the woman had bought from me through the years, but her sister wanted her own copies for her library.  How nice is that!

I’m already looking forward to next year’s picnic and having a another NEW book to sell!  I’m currently on page 136 of the first draft.Image

About Hurricane River Publishing

I write mystery novels. The Butterfly Conspiracy and The Peacock Prophecy, feature Stepehn Moorehouse, his Uncle Phillip Kahle, and Stephen's romantic interest, Jeanette St. Jacques. The Maze At Four Chimneys features John Barrington and his family. The Black Orchid Mystery features a detective named Archie Archibald. This book takes place in Vero Beach, Florida but has ties to John Barrington from The Maze book. My latest book, Menagerie of Broken Dreams, brings back Stephen Moorhouse and his uncle Philip, as they travel to central Florida to make a movie. Things don't go as planned when they meet Doctor Merryweather and his run down roadside attraction the Menagerie.
